Plant description
Purple Shamrock Plant (Oxalis triangularis) is a rhizomatous herbaceous ornamental that is typically grown as a houseplant but can be grown outside in USDA climate zones 8a–11, preferably in light shade. The leaves fold down at night, when disturbed, and when in harsh sunlight. The white to pink flowers bloom in clusters in spring to summer and also close at night.
Growing to 50 cm (20 in) tall and broad, the purpleleaf false shamrock, is hardy and easy to care, drought tolerant.
Cultivation
Prefer bright indirect sunlight and thrives in an average potting soil with good drainage. They should be watered only when the topsoil looks dry. In winter, they should not be watered.
